Lash Out at Cancer.

Every month, San Diego Lashes donates a free set of lashes to someone going through cancer treatment. Because losing your hair, your brows, and your lashes during chemo is one of the hardest visible reminders of what you’re fighting through — and getting them back, even temporarily, is one of the smallest things we can do that actually feels like something.

The program is simple. Every month, we set aside time and product to donate a complete lash extension service to a client going through cancer treatment. No paperwork. No qualifying process. No public marketing of who received it. One person, one chair, one act of care.

Why we do this

Looking like yourself matters.

Cancer takes more than people realize. The treatments save lives, but along the way they take hair, eyebrows, eyelashes, energy — and a lot of the small visual anchors of self-recognition. Looking in the mirror and not seeing yourself is its own kind of grief.

A set of lashes won’t change anything about a diagnosis. But for the people we’ve sat down with, having a small piece of how they used to look while they fight has mattered more than we ever expected. That’s why we keep doing it. That’s why we’ll keep doing it.

How to receive a set

Reach out. That's it.

There’s no application process. No documentation required. No public selection. We do this quietly, monthly, on a first-reach-out basis.

How clients support the program.

The simplest thing you can do is share this page. The people who most need this program don’t always know to ask — word of mouth is how most of our recipients find us.

If you’d like to contribute directly, we accept donations toward the program in-studio at any appointment, or by request. 100% of donations go toward materials and chair time for recipients — no overhead, no admin fees.

What else we support.

Beyond Lash Out at Cancer, we love giving back to our community in ways big and small. Service donations for school fundraisers and silent auctions, sponsorships for local events, gift cards for women’s shelter programs, and partnerships with neighborhood causes we believe in.
